Characteristics of high-quality early childhood education and care: a study from Australia

The early childhood environment influences a young child's growth, wellbeing, and development, the determines lifelong outcomes. impact of on children's developing brain capacity has been shown to affect hard wiring that occurs in 1st years life. Brain development is shaped formed response environmental experiences. learning education care (ECEC) services designed by educators—for example, establishing implementing routines, deciding how resource environment, maintaining relationships with children, families, staff. Australian Children's Education Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) developed implemented national quality standard (NQS) addresses ECEC services. NQS comprises seven areas educators implement. Even though are key decision-makers experience for their perspectives have not heard. This study presents educators' characteristics long day (LDC) centers (for children aged from birth 5 years) they perceived be important provision high-quality ECEC.
